Teaching Specialties & Techniques

Ian has been involved with teaching the game all his life. He worked with former PGA Tour player David Hearn at the Pike Lake Junior camps in the early 1990’s. Ian worked with Brent Franklin on the Canadian Tour during two of Brent’s victories and was involved with Neal Lancaster during the 2002 Canadian Open, a tournament that Neal lost in a playoff.

Ian was the Associate Teaching professional at the Arnold Palmer Golf Academy and had the opportunity to work with Mr. Palmer. His teaching philosophy has also been influenced by the writings of Ben Hogan. Ian was fortunate at a young age to have the chance to spend time with Moe Norman, George Knudson, Gary Cowan, Nick Weslock, Gerry Kesselring and many other Canadian greats, all of whom had an influence on Ian.
