Reggie Millage Shoots 66 to Defend Srixon Assistants' Summer Championship at Paris Grand
(Paris, Ont. July 14, 2008) - Reggie Millage (Glen Abbey Academy) continued his fine play in the Ontario PGA Assistants' Division today at the Srixon Assistants' Summer Championship. Millage's -6 under 66 was three shots better then his closest pursuer.
Millage, who is attempting to qualify for the RBC Canadian Open next week, won the Assistants' Order of Merit in 2007 by claiming the Assistants' Summer and Assistants PGA Championship.
"I got off to a fast start today," said Millage, who birdied three of his first four holes. "This course is always fun to play and gives players a number of shot options."
Other notable scores from Paris Grand included a pair of 69's from reigning Ontario PGA Championship winner Dave Levesque (The Country Club) and Ron Kenesky (Hidden Lake). Teejay Alderdice (Devil's Pulpit) and Dave Wettlaufer (Oakdale) finished in fourth spot at -2 under par 70. Player of the year front runner Scott Bogle (King Valley) shot even par to finish tied for 11th spot.
Notes: The Bamboomer Long Drive Championship qualifier for today was Nick Starchuk from the Clublink Academy.
