NEW FOR 2009 NO ALCOHOL DURING COMPETITION- Consumption of alcohol during the course of play of a CPGA of Ontario Tournament event is strictly prohibited. Any player found in breach of this rule will be deemed to have conducted themselves in a manner unbecoming of a Member of our Association and will face a penalty set forth by the Tournament Committee.

Open to all Ontario PGA members in good standing. Please refer to the 2009 tournament rules and regulations of the Ontario PGA Conditions of Competition (Hard Card).

Starting times will be available on May 5, 2009

Format: Stroke play, best ball competition (each player may select their own partner and each team may designate their substitute player). TIES: Should there be a tie for 16th position a sudden victory playoff will commence broken using same format (stroke play, best ball).

Power carts are not included. Please call the Angus Glen Pro Shop to reserve.

ENTRY FEE FOR QUALIFYING COMPETITORS: Qualifying teams will be required to pay an additional tournament entry fee of $325.00 per player ($650.00 per team) upon successfully advancing through the qualifying round. Failure to pay the additional advancement fee on this date will result in disqualification and the next alternate team will be granted the 16th position.

Directions: Corner of Kennedy Road & Major MacKenzie Drive. North of Kennedy Road. Course is second driveway on the west.

Top 16 teams qualify to represent the Ontario PGA at the VIA Rail Canada Cup from June 16 – June 19, 2009 at The Country Club of Montreal. Order of finish in this qualification round will determine seedings in the tournament.

SUBSTITUTE PLAYER: It will be left up to each team to choose a substitute player. The substitute player must not be registered in the qualifying round, cannot be associated with more than one team and his or her name absolutely must appear on the entry form. If a team uses a substitute player during the qualifying round or in one of the official matches, the player replaced from the team can no longer play in the competition. If a team exercises the right to not choose a replacement player and a player from that team is unable to compete, that team will be deemed as ineligible and an alternate team will be chosen in their stead.

June 17 a.m.: Eighth of finals of division / $1,000 per eliminated team June 17 p.m.: Quarter finals of division / $2,000 per eliminated team

June 18 a.m.: Semi-finals of division / $4,000 per eliminated team June 18 p.m.: Finals of division / $8,000 per eliminated team

June 19: Final / $16,000 for the eliminated team and $20,000 for the championship team
