– The teams of Dan Clark / Gordie Burns (Golden Ridge) and Ryan Hughes / Gord Wood (Beach Grove) each won their respective divisions at the Ontario PGA Head Pro / Assistant Pro at Sunningdale Golf & Country Club. The team of Clark and Burns shot a 6-under-par 66 on the Robinson course while the team of Hughes and Wood shot 7-under-par 65 on the Thompson course.

“The greens were fantastic today,” said Dan Clark. “We played really well today and supported one another all day,” added Gordie Burns.

The team of Ryan Hughes and Gord Wood made a 50 foot putt on the final hole (14) of their day to clinch the title.

“It was a lot of fun today,” said Hughes. “The golf course conditions were unbelievable and overall this was a great event at a great venue,” added Hughes referring to the pristine conditions at Sunningdale Golf & Country Club.

Other notable scores from Sunningdale included a 66 on the Thompson Course from Adam Cherry and Mike Ramsden (Credit Valley).  Six teams shared third spot on the Thompson course shooting 5-under-par 67. On the Robinson Course Brian French and Andrew Lovell (Mad River) tied Kevin Fraser and David Nash (Carrying Place) with a score of 5-under-par 67.

Notes: There were two qualifiers for the season ending Bamboomer Long Drive Championship. Both Micheal Resciniti (Copper Creek) and Ryan Neily (Markland Wood) have now qualified to compete in the season ending Bamboomer Long Drive Championship at Angus Glen.
