KING & RYALL WIN HP HP CHAMPIONSHIP

Danny King & Bradlee Ryall Win
PING Ontario PGA Head Professional / Head Professional Championship

(Milton, Ont., September 8, 2009) – The team of Danny King (Magna) and Bradlee Ryall (Braeben) shot an impressive 11-under-par to win this year’s Head Professional / Head Professional Championship. King and Ryall’s 27-hole total of 97 included 12 birdies and one bogey.

“This format is extremely fun to play,” said King, alluding to the three different nine hole formats which includes a better ball, alternate shot and scramble. “We worked really well as a team and complimented each other nicely on the course,” added Ryall.

The Danny King name will be familiar to many of those who follow golf in Ontario. King has won nearly every Ontario PGA event and adds the HP / HP as his third team victory. Ryall on the other hand is the complete opposite having never won a professional tournament over his eight year career as a Professional.

“It feels great to win and hopefully this is a sign of things to come,” added Ryall, who spent a successful season as the Director of Instruction at Braeben Golf Course in Mississauga.

Dan Greenwood (Heron Point) and Rob Hickson (Greystone) along with Chester Morin (Mill Run) and Warren Thomas (Cobble Beach) as well as Chris Wehrle (Whistle Bear) and Mike Turner (Golf North) all shot 6-under-par to finish in a tie for second place. Defending champions Scott Cowx (HGCC Teaching Academy) and Darren Allan (Ottercreek) finished in a tie for 15th spot.
