Marseilles & Moyer Team Up to Win
Senior Pro / Junior Pro Presented by Adams Golf

(Burlington, Ont., June 22, 2009) - Craig Marseilles (Heritage Hills) won his second Ontario PGA title of the year as he teamed up with Brad Moyer (Canadian PGA) to win the 2009 Senior Pro Junior Pro Championship. Marseilles and Moyer shot 11-under-par 60 to win by one stroke over four teams which included Gar Hamilton (Mississaugua) and Scott Bogle (King Valley)as well as 2007 Champions Dave Clayton (Wolf Run) and Matthew Peavoy (Rosedale).

The team of Marseilles and Moyer was born out of their friendship during Marseilles' playing days as the Tournament Professional at The National. Moyer was an associate during those days and the two have remained friends ever since.

"This was our first time playing together (as a team) and we had a great time," said Moyer who attributed their great round to a hot putter. "Brad putted well today and overall we had a good time out there," added Marseilles who played out of The National for 25 years during his time on the Canadian Tour.

The defending champions of Scott Bogle (King Valley) and Ken Tarling (Ken Tarling Golf Academy) were unable to defend this week after Tarling qualified to play in the Champions Tour Monday qualifier at Turning Stone Resort. That opened the door for Bogle to play with Gar Hamilton who tied for second.

Also tying for second place were the teams of Fraser McIntyre (Trafalgar) and Dan Greenwood (Heron Point) as well as Bruce Atkins (Echo Valley) and Dave Schweyer (Tarandowah). Six teams shot 62, amongst that group was host professional George Tidd (Hidden Lake) and his partner David Miller (Hamilton).
